There is an abundance of nature here in Cape Town, from Kirstenbosch Gardens to Table Mountain to Melkbos beach. This photo was taken at Melkbos beach, at a specific spot where the bullia rhodostoma (smooth plough shells) thrive. When the waves crashes over the beach, the creatures come to the surface and rolls around with the opportunity to catch one and let it curl around your finger (like in my photo). I just let them go again at the same spot, so they can continue feeding and cleaning some more. The feeling of the snail on your finger creates a special connection with Nature. I also give thanks that this little creature cleans up the beach. It’s amazing. I hope you connect with Nature as well, where-ever you are.
