Morning! I hope you have a beautiful day. I was walking in Kirstenbosch Gardens ( Cape Town, South Africa) during the summer, and found a gorgeous little lilac and white flower pop up in the river. I immediately took a photo (image above) and thought the flower looked like an angel. Wow, a great image to use in creating a new story during meditation. I like to use images as a focus point during meditation. This allows for a story to develop during the practice. Meditation was the perfect tool for writing my first fantasy novel, Mission to Mount Galbash.
I normally use the following meditation technique for my creative process (try it with the flower image above):
Sit upright, with your legs crossed. Observe the image closely and take six deep breaths. Close your eyes and allow the image to develop a story in your mind. Don’t try to see something, just let it flow naturally. Open your eyes when you feel it’s the right time, and write down what you saw. The next day, practice with the same image until the story from the image is finished. You will instinctively know when it’s done.
Keep practicing every day. Remember to write down the stories and share with us!
Sending love and light,
Engela xx
